The tiles are 18" x 18", but still cut fairly easily with the wet tile saw. I found that if I flipped the tile over and cut a couple of inches, then flipped it back and cut the rest of it, I didn't get break-out at the end of the cut (see picture below).
I cut the tiles into three 6" wide pieces (actually 5 7/8"). Tomorrow I will cut these pieces into the smaller tiles for the brick pattern.

Did you seal the travertine after it was up?
Yes we did. We used the off-the shelf stone sealer from HD. No stains yet, and my DW does a lot of cooking.
Thanks for sharing! I will be cutting travertine this weekend for application on my kitchen floor (it will actually be the size of the ones in your photo, laid in subway pattern). It's good to understand how you cut, we're hoping to avoid as many casualties as possible.
Did you have a lot of breakage of the tiles?
No - I had very few tiles break during the cutting. Don't force the cuts (let the saw do the work) and it should go well.
